I’m so fucking happy someone requested this movie. If you haven’t seen any of these movies, you’re definitely missing out. Especially if you like to puff, puff, and pass.

American Pie wrapped up the 90’s in the most epic way. From the soundtrack to the plot line, these movies are my favorite watch on sunny days. Especially with some friends.

The movie follows four high school best friends trying to lose their virginity before senior prom. And that’s the only plot line you need to know. This movie paved the way for a lot of stoner comedies and humor for the 2000’s era. (This one time at bandcamp…) It’s got a cult following that led to not just one but three sequels and multiple spin-offs. And yes I have seen all of them way more times than I care to admit.

The cast includes big names like Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Alyson Hannigan, and Eugene Levy. Nostalgic is the best word to describe this movie as a whole. Since it was shot in the 90’s, the wardrobe and set design just bring ya back. Add the mainly pop punk soundtrack and you have a catalyst for a feel-good vibe sesh.

I cannot stress enough that this movie isn’t meant for kids. The plot is sex. The movie revolves around it. It has an R rating for a reason. I watched it as a kid and still found it funny though, but I will admit I watched a lot of shit that was way too mature for my eyes.

This movie is funny, relatable, and just fun. So if you’re in the mood for some laughs, it’s currently streaming on Peacock. All of the original sequels are too, but no spin offs unfortunately.
