Liz and I have officially stepped into wedding planning. I decided to put this on while we ran through some plans and lists. She said she really liked it so I’m sure you will too.

The plot follows a recently engaged couple played by Paul Rudd and Rashida Jones. The couple are very happy, but with a sooner date set for the wedding than expected, it shines light on a big problem. Rudd’s character, Peter, has no friends. Jone’s character, Zooey, has tons. The wedding parties will definitely be uneven.

In effort to prevent that, Peter decides to search the city of Los Angeles for friends. It’s not as easy as it sounds. Until he runs into Jason Segel’s character, Sydney, and instantly finds a best friends.

This is a more “serious” comedy, in my opinion. Don’t get me wrong, it definitely has its moments of that wacky style of humor found in films touched by Judd Apatow, but it’s just a different tone.

I would still call it a bit raunchy. But I watch it every couple of months.
