A Hard Kick In The Nuts (2022)

By Stephen “Steve-O’ Glover and David Piesner

So, first off, I am officially married! Hopefully with the wedding behind us, I’ll have more free time to get back into media. I have enough time to read again and am excited to have some books added to my Korner. So, let’s get into it!

Jackass is very nostalgic to me. I can remember my mom having a VHS tape of one locked in her room when I was 8 or 9. She would only let us watch it with her, and she would skip through the nudity just so we could watch the stunts and pranks.

As I’ve grown older, I have come to appreciate the way Jackass was founded and how each member of Jackass started their careers.

I’ve been a fan of Steve-O for a long time now and have enjoyed seeing how his career has prospered. I’m an avid listener of his podcast and have seen his comedy tour with VIP tickets. I’m a HUGE fan.

His book, A Hard Kick In The Nuts, is essentially a self-help guide. Each chapter talks about a different topic that Steve-O believes is important to work on to be a better person.

Now, this is his own opinion, and he talks about how you don’t have to take his advice literally (because he doesn’t think highly of himself) and that he is simply explaining what he worked on in his own life to make it better and be happy.

His topics range from relationships to addiction to greed, and to health. In each chapter he shares personal stories from the past that essentially shaped his path in life and turned himself into what he is today.

This book is very raw and honest. It is one of the best reads I’ve had in a while.
