Yup I’m back.

One of my favorite things about my age, is that I had the opportunity to read books like Hunger Games and Divergent years before any movies were in production. There’s something so satisfying about a great book to movie adaptation. Having the opportunity to see the book you read and imagined in your head played out on a theatrical screen is a rarity in itself. Anyways, I read the book before watching either of the movies and I’m so glad I did.

The first movie is kind of the first half of the book. So, if you read the entire book, you’ll be set for the first two movies.

I won’t explain the plot or anything because just as the book, it’s a lot to follow and understand. The movies do an amazing job of explaining the plot and creating the beautiful landscape of Herbert’s world.

I think the casting was great. I enjoyed seeing them make the characters come to life.

Dune was by far my favorite read that I’ve had in years and the movies do far from disappoint.

Even if you didn’t read the book, still give the movie or movies a shot.
